It’s been too long, friends. Mostly just the usual busyness, but here on the first day of June, the roses by the chicken house in furious blossom, it seems high time to share something with my paid subscribers, an essay about rurality and hunting that’s forthcoming in an anthology titled Come and Eat: Essays on Food and Care for the Dispossessed, but hasn’t otherwise seen the light of day.
